Green Course Campaigns: Alumni Chapter
back to campaigns overview
Green Course- Alumni Chapter
Green Course's alumni chapter was established in 2005. The chapter aims at involving graduates interested in continued
environmental activities. The Green Course alumni chapter has more than
doubled its size over the past year. Today over 500 alumni contribute greatly to Green
Course's activities and professional resources. Projects include: a legal forum
of lawyers, Israel's international film festival (Ecolnoa), an urban
planners forum and the alumni chapter's pioneering project...
Greening the
Business Sector (GBS).
GBS aims
to harness the green trend within the business sector, creating real
change through services provided by Green Course alumni. GBS promotes
energy conservation and environmental awareness among workers. In addition, GBS
sets itself apart from competing programs by encouraging proactive steps to be
taken for a healthier environment by employees (bottom-up) rather than dictated
management decisions.
To date, over 10
companies have already undergone GBS training. GBS
is currently run entirely by volunteers; we look forward to establishing the
needed framework in order to spearhead this project in the coming year.
