יום כדור הארץ הוא מודעות שהתעוררה להגן על החיים שלנו ועל החיים בכלל, והמודעות הזו מתעוררת ומעוררת כבר 46 שנה ברציפות. מיום כדור הארץ הזה והלאה בואו נגרום לדברים גדולים לקרות ולהשתנות.
האירוע המרכזי של התנועה בישראל יהיה בסימן פעולה משותפת להגנת האקלים, ויתקיים ב-25 לאפריל במעגן הדיג, בפארק הקישון בחיפה כאות לערבות הדדית עם תושבי העיר במאבקם הצודק על החיים באוויר ובסביבה בריאה וירוקה. הפסח הזה כולנו באחדות עולים לרגל לחיפה ותומכים באחינו ובאחיותנו החיפאים.

- איך מגיעים?
- האירוע יתקיים בפארק הקישון מעגן הדייג. שימו לב מכיוון שיש עוד פארקים לאורך נחל הקישון.
הגעה בתחבורה ציבורית:
מגיעים לתחנת רכבת לב המפרץ, ומשם יהיה אוטובוס שיסיע את משתתפי האירוע אל פארק הקישון. ההסעה תפעל החל מ8:00 בבוקר ולאורך כל היום. האוטובוס יתמלא ויצא לדרך, לכן קחו בחשבון קצת זמן המתנה והביאו משהו כיף לעשות או ספר טוב לקרוא עד שתצאו לדרך האוטובוס גם יחזיר את המשתתפים החל מהצהריים חזרה מפארק הקישון אל תחנת לב המפרץ.
הגעה ברכב פרטי:
תזמינו את המשפחה, החברים והשכנים. שיהיה רכב שמח ומלא, והגיעו לפארק הקישון במעגן הדייג. מומלץ להשתמש בוייז מכיוון שיש מחלף סמוך שנבנה ושינויים בתנועה.
אוכל שתייה ואשפה:
– באירוע לא תהיה מכירת אוכל, אנא הביאו איתכם אוכל ושתייה לטובת פיקניק בפארק שיספיק לכם לאורך היום.
– אנו פועלים על מנת לספק כמה שיותר חיבורים למים ראויים לשתייה, אך למען הבריאות שלכם ושל משפחותיכם בבקשה תהיו חכמים בשמש ובואו עם מים ליום שלם, קשה לנו עוד להבטיח כמה חם יהיה.
– בעקבות ההשפעה של תעשיית המזון מן החי על הסביבה, אחד מעקרונות האירוע הוא טבעונות, לכן בבקשה הימנעו מלהביא מזון מן החי לשטח האירוע.
אפס פסולת (leave no trace):
קחו בחשבון שכל מה שאתם מביאים אתכם אתם לוקחים חזרה הביתה. האירוע מבוסס על מתנדבים, אנא התחשבו בנו ובפארק ואל תשאירו זבל אחריכם, אחרת אנחנו נצטרך לאסוף אחריכם!

Earth Day Israel 2016 – Working together, protecting the weather
The time has come to act!!
On Earth Day 2016 we will come from all over the country to meet, and strengthen the awakening climate movement in Israel, and where would we begin if not in Haifa?!
Activities will include:
Guided tours along the rehabilitated Kishon River // Family and community picnics (bring food and drinks) // Movie zone // Art activities for children // Clowns // Artists // Action and vision circles, so that we'll leave this event rearing for action // Ecological workshops // and more!
Each year Earth Day marks the anniversary of the birth of the modern environmental movement in 1970, which arose as a result of the realization that all species and natural resources on our fragile earth need protecting. This event has been held every consecutive year for 46 years. From this Earth Day onward, we call on the environmental movement and the public in Israel to help bring about the change that has to happen.
The main message of the Israeli movement on Earth Day 2016 will be to call for action to protect the climate. The event is taking place on April 25th, 2016 at the Kishon Park in Haifa, in solidarity with the Haifa residents who are engaged in a struggle for environmental justice, for clean air and a healthy environment. This Passover we will show them our support at the Earth Day event in their city.
Take 30 seconds and ask yourselves how you can help towards the success of the event, to make it the biggest festival taking place this Passover. What can you do? Pass this on, invite friends and family, widen the circles, be part of this amazing movement…
We invite you to act together with us, organize workshops, lectures and more activities connected to our central theme of protecting the climate and our world. There is lots that can be done – and we have to make ourselves heard and act. The event is for families who want to show their support of our cause… and the aim is to have fun!!
We call on city councils, organizations, schools, academic institutions, youth movements, groups and the public to join and initiate activities on Earth Day 2016.
